Rana Rajinikanth admitted to Hospital

Rajinikanth has been admitted to St Isabel's Hospital in Chennai after he reported some uneasiness in the sets of Rana. The Superstar was immediately rushed to the hospital where the diagnosis revealed food poisoning.

The star was at the AVM Studios this morning where the pooja and first shot of Rana took place. He reportedly ate his lunch after which he complained of uneasiness. 

The doctors attending to Rajinikanth have advised him to take a few days rest. Looks like Rana shooting will be postponed until Rajini gains his health back.

Rajinikanth’s rana Shooting starts today

Shooting for Superstar Rajinikanth’s Rana with KS Ravikumar began today at AVM studios. It was a simple affair without much fanfare considering that it is a Rajinikanth film. 


The leading lady Deepika Padukone is very happy to be a part of the Superstar's movie. She will be providing the glam quotient in Rana. This movie will be a joint venture between Eros International and Ocher Studios.




KS Ravikumar has collaborated successfully with Rajini previously with Muthu and Padayappa both going on to become super duper hits. 


The expectations are soaring as the director is considered by many to be the King of commercial cinema while Rajini is the Superstar.

Rajini kamal together for KB short film

Yes, the news is confirmed! What the fans have been looking forward to seems to be finally happening for the Superstar and the Ulaganayagan have indeed decided to come together on screen. The director who has managed this feat is none other than the veteran K.Balachander who has made several movies with the two stalwarts together. This film, however, will not be a full length feature film but a short film.

There is a connection between the start of this film and the building in Payanoor that is about to be built dedicated to all the talents in Tamil Cinema. The laying of the foundation stone for the building has been complete and the actual work will start soon and that will also mark the commencement of this short film starring Rajini and Kamal with K Balachander calling the shots. This is the first time the actors are coming together for a short film and we cannot wait to see them rock!

Rajinikanth’s Rana is now the talk of the tinsel town as the casting of the female leads is making a lot of buzz in the industry and audiences.

Although we hear several names of Bollywood beauties like Katrina Kaif and Asin but last we heard that it’s only Rekha and Deepika Padukone who were confirmed to pair opposite our Superstar. Now Tamil Movie Gallery brings you the name of third heroine. It’s Vidya Balan. The reason behind signing Vidya is that the filmmakers are in search for a girl, who has distinct Indian looks and also who would click with the south Indian audience well.

As known to us that Rajini is playing triple role in Rana. Now let me make it clear that two roles in Rana are full-fledged parts while the third one is just a cameo. Rekha will star opposite older Rajinikanth, Vidya Balan with the middle-aged one and Deepika Padukone will pair youngest Rajini. Interesting thing is that all these beauties are from South India.

KS Ravi Kumar is directing the film while Eros International and Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Ocher Studios Pvt Ltd is jointly producing the film.

Rajnikanth is making himself fit to the best for the three roles he will be playing in ‘Raana’. 
Being a historical film, one of the roles requires the super star to do sword fighting and to make it look faultless, 
Rajinikanth is said to be taking classes on sword fighting to perfect the art.


The super star was last seen sword fighting in the film ‘Alavudeenum Arputha Vilakkum’ and then something close to that in ‘Adutha Varisu’. 
His opponent in the first was Kamal Hassan and in the second CL Anandan, who was a known expert in the art.


The mega film ‘Raana’ will begin in April with its first schedule happening in London. 
Deepika Padukone and Rekha have been finalized for two heroine roles.

rajini-sultan-the-warrior Superstar Rajnikanth is all set to be seen on screens in this year, with his films “Raana”. The movie ‘Sultan’ which is an animated cum fictitious subject, will be hitting screens in the coming May 2011. The movie’s name has been changed now to ‘ Raana’ for a purpose and the last 28 minutes will be showing Trisha pairing with actor Rajnikanth in lead.




According to sources Soundarya Rajnikanth, is planning to release the movie worldwide in 2011 and insisted director KS Ravi Kumar, to direct some fictious portions. KS Ravi Kumar recommended Trisha’s name for RAANA and so will be joining the studio shooting schedule from early march 2011.
Recently, Rajnikanth disbursed al the debts of his daughter Soundarya, which amounted to Rs 10 crores. So, now the young mind is free from any kind of mental tensions and is innovatively working on ‘Raana’ in order to make it a super success like ‘Endhiran’.

After setting the box office on fire with Endhiran, the Robo, superstar Rajinikanth has decided to act in Raana movie that will be directed by KS Ravi Kumar. Actually Rajini and Ravi Kumar teamed up to do a half hour live action sequence in animated movie Hara. But the duo has decided to go with Rana now.

Rajinikanth will be playing triple role in Raana, as per the news sources. It will be co-produced by Eros International and Ocher studios. Rana is a trilingual and will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

AR Rahman scores the music and Ratnavelu handles the camera for Raana. The technical and special effects director will be Soundarya Rajnikanth and Charles Darby of Eyeqube Studios. Editing will be done by Anthony and art director is Rajeevan. Raana is expected be launched in March and will be ready for release in 2012.

Sultan The Warrior renamed as Hara

One of the most awaited Indian movie Sultan the Warrior starring Superstar Rajnikanth has been renamed to Hara. This is an 3D animated film directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya music scored by A.R.Rahman.

Hara is the first movie releasing in  more than 15 Languages. K.S.Ravikumar giving his Directorial touch.
