'Malaysia' Vasudevan breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday, 20th February 2011.
The 66-year-old singer-actor was suffering from heart ailments for a long time and was admitted to the hospital for treatment in a critical condition.
Despite the best medical care, Malaysia Vasudevan failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last at 1 pm yesterday. He has over 12000 songs to his credit in various languages with around 8000 of them in Tamil alone.
'Malaysia' Vasudevan is also an accomplished actor and has starred in over 100 films as villain or character artiste.
