In billionaire circles, its currently house buying/building season - Lakshmi Mittal is the latest to add to his luxury property portfolio. Last week, reported that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich bought over a block of flats in Knightsbridge, London, worth £150 million, and now it seems Mittal, Europe's richest (and the world's fifth richest) man is building Scotland's most expensive home.
According to the Daily Record, Mittal is building a £15 million holiday home next to the Gleneagles luxury hotel-cum-golf course in Perthshire, Scotland.
Mittal and his wife Usha have flown down to Perthshire from their £250 million London home several times to supervise the work. The 6-bedroom luxury home is said to be fitted with a top of the range sound system, two kitchens and wallpaper by Ralph Lauren. Wooden and tiled flooring has been supplied by a German company for £200 a metre.
